Biography
Living in Scotland, versatile guitarist and composer David Series is a new creative energy.

David currently leads two groups; Hidden Waves and Meerkat Parade as well as being involved in various projects.
He has appeared at the Edinburgh International, Changsha Orange (China), Aberdeen Jazz and Belladrum festivals and at many famous music venues, including
The Wigmore Hall in London and the Queens Hall in Edinburgh and the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow.
David also plays regularly at the Jazz Bar in Edinburgh and has a weekly trio residency at The Scotsman and Fortnightly at the Salisbury Arms in Edinburgh with the great saxophonist, Martin Kershaw.
Initially starting on Trombone, David moved on to guitar at 16. David holds an Honors Degree from Trinity College of Music in London and a Masters in performance from ESMUC in Barcelona. He has studied with Mike Walker, Dave Cliff, Lage Lund, Gilad Hekselman and Mike Outram. David has performed or collaborated with amongst others Louise Dodds, Georgia Cecíle, Martin Kershaw, Richard Harrold, Richard Kass (Trio HLK), Paul Harrison, Steve Hamilton, Dani Perèz and Graeme Stephen.
